Yes.
As part of this appointment we demonstrate practical techniques that help soften and prepare the birth‑related tissues.

How to soften internal and external tissues using specific oils.
The vaginal self‑stretch technique for gentle preparation of the birth canal.
How to use the EPI NO balloon for vaginal preparation if requested.
-
What is the purpose of this appointment?
This session is designed to prepare the pelvis, soft tissues and ligaments for birth by improving mobility, releasing tension and supporting optimal alignment. It also helps soften internal and external tissues to support a smoother descent of the baby.
In addition, the appointment aims to:
Assess the mobility, alignment and flexibility of the pelvis in preparation for labour.
Release tension in the pelvic joints, ligaments and soft tissues so they can function optimally during birth.
Improve circulation and nerve flow through Creative Healing techniques to support comfort and ease of movement.
Soften birth related tissues to help the baby move down more smoothly.
Teach personalised birth preparation techniques that support pelvic readiness and reduce strain during labour.
-
When should I book this appointment?
This appointment is recommended from 36 weeks of pregnancy onwards.
At 36 weeks:
The pelvic joints and ligaments have softened enough for accurate assessment and effective mobilisation.
The baby is usually settling into the pelvis, so alignment work directly supports optimal positioning.
Tissue‑softening oils and pelvic release techniques have their greatest impact in the final weeks before labour.
Vaginal preparation methods such as self‑stretching or EPI NO are most beneficial and safe from this stage.
You have enough time to practise any recommended techniques at home while still close enough to birth for maximum benefit.
