Getting Started with GBM Hypnobirthing 'The Gowri Way'

These tracks have been specially created by Dr Gowri Motha. Listening to these audio files is our special approach offering you a gentle start to prepare for birth and motherhood.

You can start listening to these tracks at any time during your pregnancy, from 14 weeks onwards.

We have included:

  1. Prepare for a safe and easy gentle birth. There are 2 tracks: Track 1 provides a short introduction to the method. Track 2, provides a comprehensive visualisation of all the changes within your body to accommodate your baby and the hormonal changes that prepares your birthing areas for a gentle birth.

  2. Hypnobirthing… Zoning out (22:24). This includes more explanation and visualisation to deeply instil the value of going to your mental safe place on a daily basis so that during the day of birthing the technique is there for you as a pre-conditioned reflex response so that you can ‘zone out’ during most of your birthing process.

  3. Jacobson’s Progressive Muscle Relaxation (21.31). This is a very valuable inner focus on all the muscles in your body, tightening and relaxing each group of muscles - from your feet all the way through to your facial muscles. There is an added focus on relaxing the birthing areas that makes this track rather special.

  4. Full Body Relaxation [Jelly] (16:08). Just carrying on the theme of total body relaxation to visualise that your whole body is turning into the consistency of softly set jelly.
